About Rose & Carter
Rose & Carter didn’t start with a big plan. It started small, personal, and real: Rose began by making her own garments and selling them to friends. Not because she wanted to “build a brand,” but because she genuinely loved it. She had an instinct for beautiful fabrics, an eye for fit, and the best part was watching someone light up when something finally felt right.
What began as a hobby—one piece here, a custom request there—quickly grew beyond the kitchen table. Friends brought friends. Someone asked for a second one in another color. Another asked if she could make it “just like that, but better.” And before long, it wasn’t a side passion anymore. It was something that needed space to become real.
That’s when Carter stepped in—her husband. Not as a “partner on paper,” but as the person beside her when the demand outgrew the spare hours. Rose brought the creativity and the feel for style; Carter brought steady support, structure, and the calm that helps a good thing last. Together, they built Rose & Carter the way they built their life: with care, trust, and persistence.
Made for women who know what they want
Rose & Carter is for women who don’t shop to prove anything. You shop because you value quality. Because you want to feel put-together the moment you walk out the door—whether it’s for lunch, a flight, a weekend away, or just a regular Tuesday.
We believe in timeless essentials made to be worn on real days: dependable materials that hold up, comfortable fits you can move in, calm colors that mix easily, and thoughtful details that make getting dressed feel simple—without ever feeling boring.
And we want to be honest
We’ve had hard seasons too. The 2008 financial crisis shook everything—there were moments we genuinely didn’t know if we’d be able to keep going. And then COVID hit, and once again the ground moved under our feet. For a while, it felt like we might not make it.
But something happened that we’ll never forget: people showed up for us. During COVID, customers started finding us online, ordering from home, sharing us with friends—and little by little, it started working again. That support didn’t just keep a business alive. It kept a dream alive.
That’s why we created the Gratitude Sale. Not as “just another discount,” but as an honest moment: every order truly matters. Every purchase helps us keep going—keeping the lights on, continuing what we started, and protecting what we’ve built with our community.
If Rose & Carter has ever meant something to you—this is the moment to step in.
